Karen Tolkkinen is the Minnesota Star Tribune‘s greater Minnesota columnist. She has over three decades of experience in local journalism, most recently serving as a reporter, copy editor, and columnist at the Echo Press in Alexandria, MN. She lives with her husband and son in Otter Tail County, in a farmhouse built by her husband‘s great-great-grandparents in the 1920s.

Eli Hill, the Work Based Learning Coordinator at Fergus Falls High School, is excited to share how he helps students take their classroom learning to the next level, boost their motivation and understanding, explore different careers, and gain a better grasp of the work environment.

Women United members Cris Oehler and Connie Knapp will inspire us by sharing information about the children‘s Imagination Library program we proudly support in Otter Tail County.

Paul Shol, Fergus Falls Habitat for Humanity‘s Operations Manager, will share a bit of info about Fergus Falls Habitat for Humanity, provide an overview of projects in queue and also share an invitation about opportunities to volunteer.
Tom Kingston, FF Habitat Board Member, will provide a message about Minnesota‘s State Housing Tax Credit and the opportunity to greatly leverage individual/group giving to provide financial support for Fergus Falls area Habitat builds.
