Get ready for an adventure at this Otter Risers‘ Kiwanis meeting! Members Steve Rufer and Dale Heglund are trading in the prairie for the peaks to take us on a virtual journey to Lake O‘Hara in Yoho National Park. They‘ll share a captivating presentation about their recent experience conquering the challenging, yet stunning, trails in this highly sought-after area of the Canadian Rockies. Prepare to be inspired by incredible photos and firsthand tales of alpine lakes, towering mountains, and the unique beauty that makes hiking in this remote wilderness an unforgettable feat. Don‘t miss this chance to see some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.

Join us for a delicious breakfast and hear about the adventures of the South Africa Learning Group. On February 28th, five of Kevin Fick‘s Ashby students will journey with him to Africa. Kevin will share with Otter Risers the grueling and educational experience focused on wildlife conservation and management, and how it ties into agriculture and the country‘s economy.

Come and hear about the exciting new developments to increase childcare access in our community. Pioneer Care is planning a 6-duplex addition on their property. Each duplex would be operated by an independent childcare provider.

Family Resource Centers are a concept designed to better support families by locating essential services under one location. There are many configurations. Otter Tail County plans to have four family resource centers: New York Mills, Parkers Prairie, Pelican Rapids and Fergus Falls.

Learn about the exciting ways that our very own Key Club is providing leadership and service in our community. From support for the Feeding Backpack Program, Festival of Lights, Bell Ringing, Habitat for Humanity, YMCA Community Halloween Party and a December book drive with the library, Key Club is making a difference!

The Fergus Falls Otter Risers Kiwanis Club is thrilled to host a special, insider tour of the Fergus Falls Fire Station!

We‘ll be honored to have Fire Chief Ryan Muchow lead the presentation. Chief Muchow will share insights into the department‘s vital role in our community, discuss fire safety, and answer all your burning questions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet our dedicated first responders, learn about their equipment, and show our appreciation for the heroes who keep Fergus Falls safe.
